Around Port Stephens

Port Stephens and environs offer almost unlimited options for relaxation and activities.  The Batch is nestled between the townships of Nelson Bay and Anna Bay. Below we offer a sample of just a few of the delights that await you.

Whale and dolphin watching is a popular year round activity.  Approximately 160 Bottlenose dolphins reside permanently in the waters of Port Stephens.  Whales can be sighted from land or sea when they migrate north to the tropics from late May to July, and on the return journey between September and November.

Nelson Bay, at the heart of Port Stephens is the base for many departing sea cruises, and has a huge variety of shops and restaurants (particularly seafood!).

Port Stephens offers a seemingly unending variety of sandy beaches, dramatic landscapes and winding waterways where you can swim, fish, dive, surf and sail.  The Batch is located minutes away from Samurai Beach and One Mile Beach.

Stockton Beach and its sand dunes is one of nature's incredible playground landscapes.  Providing opportunities for four wheel driving, quad bikes, horse riding or on foot, you have over 2,500 hectares of sand dunes to explore along this amazing one kilometre wide foreshore.
