Whale and dolphin watching is a popular year round
activity. Approximately 160 Bottlenose dolphins
reside permanently in the waters of Port Stephens.
Whales can be sighted from land or sea when they migrate
north to the tropics from late May to July, and on the
return journey between September and November. |

Nelson Bay, at the heart of Port Stephens is the base
for many departing sea cruises, and has a huge variety
of shops and restaurants (particularly seafood!). |

Port Stephens offers a seemingly unending variety of
sandy beaches, dramatic landscapes and winding waterways
where you can swim, fish, dive, surf and sail. The
Batch is located minutes away from Samurai Beach and One
Mile Beach. |

Stockton Beach and its sand dunes is one of nature's
incredible playground landscapes. Providing
opportunities for four wheel driving, quad bikes, horse
riding or on foot, you have over 2,500 hectares of sand
dunes to explore along this amazing one kilometre wide
foreshore. |
